Waller Apartments

Creating this mural for the Waller Apartments in downtown Salem was such a rewarding experience. What was once a blank, unsightly wall is now a 350 sq. ft. focal point designed to tie seamlessly into the apartment complex’s brand. Using the building’s own color palette, I incorporated bold shapes and patterns to align with the modern aesthetic while adding vibrancy and polish to the outdoor courtyard. The goal was more than just visual appeal—it was about creating an inviting space that encourages residents to spend more time outside and connect with their community.

Every project comes with its challenges, but this one also brought so much joy. Watching the transformation from a weathered concrete wall to a vibrant community feature reminded me why I love doing this work. I’m grateful to the Waller Apartments team for trusting me with their vision, and I can’t wait to see how this mural becomes part of the everyday rhythm of life for the people who call this place home.
